Late Summer Market Update + Honey Harvest

How’s everyone holding up?

I hope this finds you and your safe and healthy. I’ve got 2 kids in virtual school, so we’ll see how that’s going in a few weeks.

July was a record-breaking month for real estate despite everything going on – crazy I know. Stats below show how the market rebounded from the little dip in April/May.

In my attempt to cook away any stress during the pandemic…I’ve gotten a little obsessed with tomato pies this year. I make them every year, but last year I fine-tuned my method with the addition of 1000 day aged Gouda from Trader Joe’s, and maybe got a little carried away and have stocked the freezer for us to enjoy them into the Winter.

Add an egg on top for breakfast!

We also had a much better honey harvest than last year, and far better than we expected to have…so for those of you who wanted to buy some last year, but we didn’t have enough to sell – this year we will!

A portion of all the honey/lip balm proceeds will go to Nashville Grown to support local farmers who, like so many, are struggling with the challenges upon us these days.

We have our 375 ml/12.7 oz bottles that are hand-dipped in our beeswax for $15, 9 oz, and 4 oz sizes of creamed honey for $12/$7 and lip balm made from our beeswax for $4. They make great gifts if you want to get a jump on the holidays.

If you’re interested, email me. We will set a pick up day for Saturday August 22nd from 11am-Noon at the Village Parking Garage behind the building.

Depending on the level of interest, we may set a second pick up. I’ll keep you posted.

Until next time,

Stay safe and healthy!
